OSI POLAND FOODWORKS is one of the national representatives of the American concern OSI GROUP owning production plants in 16 countries and employing 19,000 workers.

OSI POLAND FOODWORKS was formally established in 2010, when OSI GROUP decided to expand its operations in Poland and purchase from a Polish investor a swine and bovine animals slaughterhouse named „Wędmas” located in Chróścina ( on the border of dolnośląskie and wielkopolskie voivodship).

As a result of high capital expenditure the plant was profiled for slaughter of bovine animals and beef deboning and cutting. Implemented production quality standards mandatory in all OSI Group plants allowed the plant to obtain IFS (International Food Standard) FOOD 5.0 certificate, and recently also IFS FOOD 6.0 certificate, the latest system, confirming compliance with the highest safety standards of food production.

Production activity started in 2011. In the first year the number of slaughters reached 32,000 cattle heads and cutting of 4,000 tons of beef. The breakthrough, however, occurred in 2012 when the plant experienced a 50% growth in production. The number of slaughters increased to 48,000 cattle heads and cutting production to 7,000 tons. Year 2013 was aimed at expanding the cutting production and resulted in 13,000 tons of production. The employment level increased 6 times during that period and reached over 240 employees.

OSI POLAND FOODWORKS is today one of the largest slaughtering and cutting plant operating on the Polish market of bovine animals for slaughter, with market share of notable 7%. Monthly production level equals 5,000 cattle heads slaughter and a cutting of over 1,400 tons of beef.

Representing mainly production facilities for European structures of OSI GROUP, OSI POLAND FOODWORKS supplies primarily foreign customers with beef products. The plant has extensive export authorization.

Presence in the worldwide sales network of OSI GROUP is guaranteed by the sustainability of the production plant. Moreover OSI GROUP’s organizational and capital base constitutes a solid support for ambitious plant expansion plans, enabling OSI POLAND FOODWORKS to dynamically increase the slaughter scale, expanding the market share with success.

We look forward to working with you!
